This exclusive filter consists of a UF filter (ultrafiltration) and an activated carbon filter combined in one housing.
1st stage UF filter
Ultrafiltration is a membrane filtration process in which water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane (hollow fiber technology) so that only fresh, clean water and dissolved minerals are allowed through.
2nd stage activated carbon
Toxic chemicals such as pesticides, nitrates and chlorine are filtered with activated carbon, made from coconut shells. Activated carbon is also able to remove dissolved organic trace substances, such as insecticides or drug residues, from the water by adsorbing these substances.
Substances such as minerals and salts, however, remain in the water.
